Mac QuickTip: Spaces AND Expose at the same time

If you’re a user of Spaces on OS X, you’re no doubt frustrated at times by having to drag windows around from space to space.

Here’s a real quick shortcut sure to save you a few milliseconds…

  1. Activate Spaces with your preferred shortcut. Mine is the middle mouse button, or F8.
  2. Now, activate Expose with the keyboard shortcut. Mine is F9.
  3. ????
  4. PROFIT!!

Now you can drag the tiny windows from one space to the next, regardless of what app you had in the forefront in that space.

I find this useful because I frequently run apps in full screen, such as Mail, iCal, and OmniFocus, and it’s incredibly irritating to have to move apps behind the full windows one-by-one to another space.

If you have a Mac QuickTip, let it out in the comments…
